Jersey City Museum

The mission of the Jersey City Museum is to present, collect, and interpret American visual art and material culture of the highest quality. The museum places particular emphasis on exhibiting and supporting the work of contemporary artists who represent the diversity of our society, and on preserving and making accessible the art and the historical and industrial objects of significance to the region in its collections. Through its exhibition, educational initiatives, and public programs, the museum serves as a center of cultural life for the people of Jersey City, Hudson County and the surrounding region.

Hudson County Community College

 Hudson County Community College is a comprehensive urban community college. Teen Arts

The Hudson County Teen Arts is part of a statewide multidisciplinary program in the fine and performing arts. Serving students and teachers in both public and private schools since 1969, the program encompasses activities in dance, theater, vocal music, instrumental music, film and video, photography, creative writing and the visual arts. Black Maria Film and Video Festival

Since 1981, the annual Black Maria Film and Video Festival, an international juried competition and award tour, has been fulfilling its mission to advocate, exhibit and reward cutting edge works from independent film and videomakers. Julie Pasqual:
Performer and Storyteller

Julie Pasqual is a renaissance woman whose first art form was dance.  She is a student of renowned ballet teacher Dick Andros, and a graduate of New York City's High School of Performing Arts.  Julie has appeared with ballet and modern dance companies, and her work in musical theatre has taken her to 48 of the 50 states. As an actress she has performed in everything from Shakespeare to the work of inner-city teenage playwrights.  Her storytelling work encompasses all of her performance skills, (along with her knowledge of American Sign Language and occasionally, her stilt walking ability).  Recent performance venues include the Kennedy Center, the New Jersey Storytelling Festival, The Connecticut Storytelling Festival, numerous schools, libraries and museums.

Tempest Productions Inc.

Tempest Productions Inc. is a not-for-profit, resident theatre company of the Jersey City Museum. Tempest celebrates life and man's fortitude in facing the human condition through the presentation of modern and classical plays.  Its guiding principles are to present quality productions that deal with classical universal themes; offer local residents affordable theatre and work with youth and children to explore creative dramatics and theatre as a means of expression; to increase literacy skills through the arts; and to introduce youth to live theatre by working with classical texts and themes, creative dramatics and creative arts techniques.
